Honourable Shakirudeen Olofin of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has been elected the new chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Lagos State.
In an election conducted by the body’s national officers led by Reverend Olusegun Peters, National Chairman of the Democratic People’s Congress (DPC), Joseph Ogebule, of Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) was chosen as the Vice Chairman, while Femi Saheed of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as the Secretary.
Comrade Shola Omolola, the IPAC’s new Publicity Secretary, and Chairman of the Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA), in a statement in Lagos on Tuesday, said that Hon. Richard Benson of the Peoples Progressives Party (PPP) was elected Assistant Secretary, while Hon. Funmi Lawal of Better Nigerian Peoples Party (BNPP) emerged the new Financial Secretary.
The IPAC also elected Hon. Mustapha Moshood of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) as Treasurer, even as Hon. Hon. Adewale Samson of the All Grand Alliance Party (AGAP) became the Organising Secretary.
Omolola also stated that Barrister Nasir Adewale Bolaji of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) was elected the new Legal Adviser.
In his post-election speech, Hon. Olofin thanked the IPAC General Assembly for their support, promising that the new executive would surely take the organisation to the next level in Lagos State.
